- To cheer up, pray more. Prayers shore us up when
things are good, but also when bad. Grandpa Jim
would say "Cheer up. Things could be
worse." Then he'd say, "Sure enough, I
cheered up and they got worse." It can get
worse. If we remember to pray, we'll be better.
The situation or circumstance may not be better,
but we'll be better. More cheered up. It is
prayer that helps us to cheer up. Ours or maybe
someone else's. 01/04/12

| Speaking of physics...Yesterday I spent alot of time
reading about quantum physics (don't worry, it's at our
level). It left me thinking that we need a new health
care delivery, a new energy system, and a new economy.
Not bad for some work that needs to be done. |

Please join me as I try to join His Excellency Bishop
Fellay in his request for 12 million rosaries by March
25, 2010, Fr. Gruner in his 12 million rosary crusade,
AND Mr. Lacorte, Fatima USA, and his request for 100,000
prayers by October 18, 2009. Let us join those 3 and
their rosary/prayer requests for their intentions. This
could be a step in obtaining a certain critical mass (of
prayers) necessary for the events they wish to occur.
(This is a law of physics) This is what Our Lady at
Fatima, Garabandal, and Lourdes was asking (the most
important reason to do this)...Pray, Pray, Pray, -
Prayer, Penance, Sacrifice, - Penance, Penance, Penance
respectively. As we look
around us, it is quite easy to see
the need for us to pray, and to pray
with each other as well. The more we pray the
same prayers, the better it will be. It is a law of
physics. joan ellen 08-21-09 |

- Below are
some STEPS that some Grandmas do
- with &
for their grandchildrens spiritual life.
(We
may have a Grandpas page in the future.)
- 1.) Grandmas are
allowed to say things to their grandchildren.
- 2.)
Grandmas have rights.
- 3.)
Grandmas can tell grandchildren what is morally
right.
- 4.) While
parents have to focus on personal, financial,
etc. care, Grandmas have time to focus on
spiritual care.
- 5.) A
child's love for a Grandma is very different than
it is for a parent.
- 6.)
Grandmas bring wisdom, trial & error &
experience that parents do not have.
- 7.)
Grandmas can use story form to bring the Word of
God to the grandchildren.
- 8.) In one
day a Grandma can teach a grandchild more than
they can learn in a whole week elsewhere.
- 9.)
Grandmas have a different set of problems, so
they have more time to teach the faith to
grandchildren.
- 10.) Pray.
Grandma Joan S.
practices. Steps 1 through 10...Pray especially 7 Hail
Marys & the Memorare.
